And now for something new…

Introducing the TT Hub, a new turntable made by UK-based manufacturer Connected-Fidelity. Constructed from resonantly stable bamboo ply, this unique new turntable design incorporates many high-end features and is compatible with a wide range of different tonearms. Company head Michael Osborn, experienced designer of high quality audio components and accessories, conceived the TT Hub as a turntable that can deliver top-notch analog sound in an attractive, adaptable, and eco-friendly package.

The principal aim of the TT Hub’s design is to achieve excellent sonic performance and good looks at a realistic price point. Designer Michael Osborn chose bamboo as the ideal material for such a design, because it is economical, attractive, and has excellent sonic characteristics.

Available in both dark stained and clear lacquer finish, the plinth of the TT Hub consists of multiple layers of bamboo ply in a mechanically isolated constrained-layer construction.

ABOUT the TT Hub Turntable

The non-suspended TT Hub turntable includes its own bespoke isolation base, also made of precision crafted bamboo, with top isolation components and silicon damping feet.

A 16mm dia. x 75mm long self-lubricating bronze sintered main bearing design utilizes a PEEK (polyetheretherketone) base component, a special plastic chosen for its very low friction characteristic, on which a sapphire thrust bearing sits, all housed within a thick wall aluminum body. This highly efficient bearing design contributes to the TT Hub’s excellent speed stability and rhythmic precision.

The solid, 30mm thick acrylic platter of the TT Hub has a foamed record mat bonded to the top face to absorb and isolate the LP from any extraneous vibrational energy.

The turntable features a sophisticated outboard speed controller/power supply unit, controlled by a quartz clock, to ensure constant and steady speed. This feeds a high-precision AC synchronous motor, housed in a heavy-duty aluminum case. The result is speed accuracy within 0.003%, even with fluctuations from the mains supply.

The TT Hub can be configured for either 1 or 2 tonearms. Standard armboards, made from solid anodized aluminum, are compatible with Sorane, Rega and Linn tonearms. Custom armboards can be drilled for a wide range of tonearms from other manufacturers in 9”, 10” and 12” lengths.

Sorane tonearms

TT Hub Turntables are available in the USA with Sorane Tonearms. Sorane tonearms are precision machined and hand-assembled by experienced craftsmen at their factory in Japan. High-tech manufacturing processes combined with traditional hand-assembly ensures that Sorane tonearms operate with low friction and high rigidity for maximum performance. All tonearms undergo strict testing procedures and use precision-tuned bearings resulting in accurate bass, balanced transient response, and excellent imaging.

Sorane TA series tonearms sport a traditional S-shape armtube, available in 9" or 12" lenghts. The more sophisticated SA-series arms, with their unique double-counterweight structure and angled arm stem for increased rigidity, are also available. All Sorane tonearms feature removable headshells, gimbaled bearings, and come with phono cable and mounting collar for use with TT Hub.

Float Isolation pucks and more

In addition to the TT Hub, Connected Fidelity manufactures a wide range of audio accessories, including their award-winning Float series isolation pucks. Not just for turntables, these highly adaptable isolation pucks can be placed under any source component, amplifier, or loudspeaker to achieve remarkable improvements in bass response and imaging. Available in sets of 3 or 4, in silver or black finish, Float series isolation pucks are built around internal hardened spheres which minimize mechanical contact and energy transfer while improving stability. The spheres are made of high tech POM (Polyoxymethylene) or Chromium steel material (depending on weight range) and are housed inside a non-resonant anodized aluminum housing. More information about Float series isolation pucks and other accessories can be found at the official Connected-Fidelity website:
